Yesterday evening and late into the night, I was exploring a bit of AppleScript.

Just a few simple commands to start with. I wanted to explore the use of it to resize and position windows on the screen. At present I am using Keyboard Maestro, but I wnated to try AppleScript in order to enable a more consistent version control across the tools I use.

I'd like to be able to version control all my automation scripts using GitHub, so if I ever get a new computer it will just be a case of cloning a repo, running an install script and leaving it to work it's magic.

I'm aware I could just use a Time Machine backup in order to set up a new machine, but if I do get a new machine at some point, I think I really want to just start from scratch with it as a blank canvas.

Anyway, back to the title of the post... After a few hours of tinkering, I realised AppleScript is just too slow to run the automations I want for window arrangement so I'll be sticking with Keyboard Maestro for now!
